Who Is Liable for Unauthorized Postings of Copyrighted Materials

If this particular class, posting copyrighted material makes the website and the host responsible for the post from the blogger. However, i feel that this is not right because the website is just were the bloggers post.  The bloggers should be held responsible for everything that they post. Websites are just websites, they don't make themselves.

Would You Connect to an Unsecured Wireless Network?

No i wouldn't connect to a unscure network because a hacker could have the network set up to gather all of my personal information on my computer. Basically a unsecure network could be a trap for users who don't know what they are doing.

How Should Cybercriminals Be Punished?

Cybercriminals should be punished to seneteces from 15-20 years based on the offense. Cybercriminals i feel are just like theives in a way because they are tring to steal something from someone and sell it to someone else. However many people that steal i feel should be sentenced to a long term in prison. Although stealing is stealing.

What Punishment for Webcam Spying Is Appropriate

In my opinion, I feel that webcam spying should be a federal crime that you have to go to prison for a couple years. For the simple reason because the person who is spying is invading someone's personal life. What people do on their time is their business.

Should Apps Be Allowed to Track Your Location

When I download an app, I feel that the policies should state whether they are using my personal information or not because I for one am a very private and cautious preson. The police should be allowed to use you GPS information so that they can protect you in something ever happens where you are in court and you need to know where you were at during a specific time and date. I presonally don't use apps that post my location because I don't want no one asking me questions like, where are you at, why are you there, etc... I feel like if you want to know where I am, that you will ask me.

The Technology Divide

In many cases, parents now days can't really afford new technology devices. For example, my family has been extremely blessed and this has allowed my family and I to become more knowledgeable when it comes to technology. However, this isn't the case for everyone around me. Some kids I went to high school with had never owned a computer at their house, the only access they had to that kind of technology was their school that they attended.

I feel that to some extend the schools are responsible for the students technological knowledge. However, public schools can't afford to buy ipads or tables for every student and teacher at each school. Schools are only responsible for a small portion of the students technological knowledge.

Students should be required to use technology in their education. For example most of the colleges thought the USA require students to have a computer and Internet access to upload their work, submit presentations, etc... If anything, this will allow students the ability to get a head start on becoming familiar with some of the programs that they will be using if they choose to further their education.

To make it more fair, public schools should invest in new technology and allow students to use them whenever. Another way to narrow the divide is to lower the prices on the new technology. Other than these steps, there really isn't nothing we can do to narrow the divide except for allowing students access to all the technology that is available at the current time.

Text Messaging

First and foremost, I believe that texting has hurt the intelligence of students in today's society. When a student sends thousands of texts per month, their minds forget how to type a formal paper. I feel that students writing abilities were higher before text messaging was invented.

In certain situations, I believe that students should be able to use acronyms like in theater class or in the gym. However, students should be pushed to their absolute maximum potential in school; isn't that why kids go to school?

I believe texting has no positive assets to give us. Textng has allowed our formal communication abilities to decrease so much. Before texting, every student at the time could write with good grammar and sentence structure. Text messaging is one of the leading causes in why students do poorly in English and writing classes.

Welcome

Dear readers,

My name is Tate. I currently feel that technology isn't ruinning our lives as people say it is. For example look at the medical feild and how doctors use technology to enchance and better our lifes. People however are becoming dependent on technology and how it effects our daily lifes. Cell phones are however becoming more and more technologically advanced. The Possibilities of technology are endless.

PROS AND CONS

However, with every pro in a situation there is a con. Kids at the age of 10 have cell phones these days. I think that this is a terrible idea because of the fact that kids should have other things to worry about than what is going on with social networks. These cell phones are allowing kids to grow up faster than any kid should. These social networks distract many kids while in class; that in itself is a major problem. Why are we allowing these kids to ruin their education by just playing on cell phones will at school where they should be learn. The fact of the matter is that its wasting tax payers money to send kids to school to play on cell phones all day.

Thanks for reading,
Tate
